Hellish Summer Days

The days are hellishly hot down here
A boiling 95 degrees in the shade
This is where the sun scorches Earth
And here, the Devil's anvils are made

The air stands still, the sun beats down
And all life prays for that gentle breeze
The sweat pours out & soaks the clothes
From the head, down past the knees

The pool just feels like bath water
On the horizon is the promise of rain
But tomorrow is going to be hotter still
Global Warming drives snowflakes insane
