Poetry - Chasing Fairy Tales
Cinderella was abused.
Snow White lived with strangers.
Those fairy tales turned out alright
but real life's full of dangers.
You have to learn to use your head.
You have to stop and think.
The chain of life won't move so well
without a master link.
You have to work hard everyday
and always watch your back.
There will be opportunities,
don't let them pass: attack!
Chase the things that matter most,
don't give up your dreams.
Don't forget that rivers come
from many little streams.
Happy endings come to those
who know what they can be.
They follow through on all they do
with determined tenacity.
Waiting for a fairy tale
Will only leave you waiting
Your life is what you make of it,
move forth and start creating!
