We live inside of here,
The anthropomorphic idols of her mind.
Covered in baubles,
Entombed in bubble-wrap.
At the gate, a sullen guard,
Listening for noises
In the eternal dark.
Behind her twitching eyelids,
We slip and slide,
Fingers shackled
Around her bony ankles.
She's losing weight,
She's diminished in size.
Soon, she'll be too small to see.
Our prisoner, our prize.
Invisible and weak,
Eye-of-the-needle big,
She'll perish and we'll go,
Free, at last, to roam another's mind.
