Existing in rough trodden spaces
Cold reality bites bitterly
Unjustly, uncaring and unkind
State of mind so fine and subtle
Harsh experiences
Carving its history
Distorting the mind's graceful memories
Once glorified on silk pages
Now torn and battered by struggle through ages
A world so unforgiving
Drives the lonely
To despair
Be weak no more
For strength in understanding awaits
Others are here with you
Sad souls like you
I'm here
