Birthing in a Hospital has its pros & cons, depending if you’re a glass half empty or half full kind of person. Getting formulas shoved into my face as if my baby would die without it. Yes I know she came before she was expected, & her weight & blood sugar got low— as you stick me with needles & paperwork my baby looses time with me so she may nurse. Get your brainwashed thoughts of her fate out of my face.. my milk & warmth is the only thing that will make her strong. You’re wrong if you think she’ll be in ICU, better think twice about who you’ll be stickin shots in too. You work in a hospital I know you’re used to bad outcomes, ever think those outcomes have something to do with procedure? Barging into Mama & Baby’s space at your leisure, makes recovery a little harder especially when you’ve come with meds. Grimy hospital food & uncomfortable beds. Oh how I wish I could’ve done this at home. No matter where We are we find our bliss through our heart. Healing is the place where our space becomes art. A story to tell of our being, of how you came into this world. Me & my baby girl... go ahead & drink yo milk 🥛

How wonderful that you do what is best for your baby, including fighting for your rights when she was born. I am sorry you missed out on a homebirth, but how amazing that you were resilient through it all.

gorgeous photo and I completely agree with you! as one of those babies put in an incubator and not permitted to be held by my mother for 2 weeks and fed formula as the nurses tossed my mother's pumped breast milk, LISTEN TO YOURSELF!!!!! xoxo

How people can force their opinions on you... Connect with your baby your way, what a gorgeous picture to look at! <3

What a beautiful photo. The way they clinch their little fists when they're tiny because they're so, so excited for that milk! So very precious!
I'm sorry you had to advocate for yourself and your baby, but I'm so glad you did. You'd think they'd let people decide how they want to do without being so pushy when they just finished giving birth. After my 3rd was born, I had to transfer to the hospital from home because my placenta retained. I was horrified at how rude and hasty they were.

As a childless spinster i cringe when i look at yhst hand.ouuuucvhhh . Kids are painful.

It can be, especially at first. I learned after my second to not allow the hand thing anymore because as they get older it evolves into pinching and flicking. When they're tiny, it's cute, but it turns dark. My second had to have a hand in my shirt all the time even after she weaned, especially when she was nervous.
