as if to become reabsorbed
By the sponge earth
.
rewound into the heavens
like a salvaged puppet
.
siphoned off the surface,
rainbow soapsuds for
splattering predictability
.
Huddling
in a canister of dysfunctionality
Squeezed
into a sterile tube
to unsanitize laughter
to desecrate time
to unravel the mechanism
.
Holding
(in check) dreams
(propelled) aloft
(where) untouchable
.
(biding) Budding
(fervent) hopes
blooming (jewels)
skyward (launch)
