Condemned? (original poetry)
Can you see me now? Will I ever know?
Lost among overgrowth and the undertow.
When I speak it's like my words are intertwined,
crawling like vines from somewhere in my mind.
Searching out the light and I see your glow;
This is the only way that my words flow.
Can you feel my heart's beat here in my rhyme?
The rhythm is there, it's keeping the time.
Seeing all the signs the paths have to show,
with no destinations anywhere I go.
Life behind bars feels like a pantomime;
If this is the sentence, is love the crime?
I love it. Short and sweet, yet it leaves you thinking in the end. <3
Short, yet poignant...the poetic meanderings of a philosophical mind.
