[Poem] New Light

As the sun will change the landscape,
From horizon to horizon,

Upon its rising, magically,
Change the night to day,

And chase away the darkness,
By its beams of morning light,

To reveal a new world brightly lit,
Dawn-quickened into sight,

You changed my darkened landscape,
By the brightness of your coming,

And chased away my night,
In a shower of your rays,

And the magic of your rising,
Made new light for me to see,

A new heart quickened by your love,
Your light that shines in me.
