ADSactly Poetry - A Collection of Short Poems to Inspire (Part 2)

This is a post dedicated to my rants, ideas and dreams. I've written sporadically in efforts to inspire, motivate and disrupt the everyday routine. Ideas create color in life.

Today I've brought you two short poems in which I hope you'll enjoy.

So without any further distraction, I give you this first poem I've written entitled 'The Traveler.'

The Traveler

He comes in the night or perhaps in the morning and simply slides on into town.

A smile here a glance there steadily casing the place out.

Kindness and joy are his two main themes as he radiates good will towards everyone he meets.

Perhaps a coffee here a long sit on a bench there a bit of time to contemplate his dreams.

If it comes to friends he has few but they never would do as the traveler is a man who just passes through.

What does he want what is it that he needs unknown is this man which leaves those he meets pleased.

What a kind guy, what a polite fellow are the thoughts left in the mind of those he interacts with on these streets.

Why does he travel from town to town, not a thought or a moment spent of consideration in settling down.

What could it be that makes this good fellow tick, the answer is unknown to both you and me.

It wont be long a few hours or days when the traveler decides that its time to leave.

Is it heartbreak or fear that keeps him on the move or does he just love life so much or might he have something to prove.

One may never know what motivates him so or what could have led him to choose such a life.

Will we ever understand the mind of the traveler?

In this next piece I'm not sure if it can be called a poem but it is reflective and because of the value I find in it myself I've decided to share it with readers. I hope you like it.

Unlimited Potential

There is really nothing we can't accomplish if we put our mind to it.

If it's within our grasp it can be grasped.

Just the act of knowing it can be grasped makes it one step closer.

I don't think we were made to live lives that don't move, don't change, don't adapt and evolve.

We were meant to be free like birds, moving from place to place.

Sharing experiences with others we met along the way.

Enjoying the simple things...

Being at peace with nature and the environment and loving ourselves and those around us.

This is what we were meant for and this alone.

Thoughts

I find it enjoyable bringing characters and ideas to life.

There's something about creative writing that really removes the bonds of everyday life and allows us to truly be free and explore!

We can find ourselves exploring places that we may have never imagined going as we make our way through the day to day moments of our lives.

Did these poems affect you in any way? If so, please do tell below in the comments section!

Thanks for reading!

Interesting texts (I wouldn't call the three poems in the strict sense, just the first one). They could enter the general field of poetry, but we must not forget that the condition of "poetic" as some author says, supposes the aesthetic recreation of the world by the configuration of language (which does not mean rhyme, of course). Excuse the antipathetic professorial observation...
The journey and the traveller are two archetypal figures of the most appreciated (One of my favourite poems speaks of the journey: "Ithaca" by Constantin Cavafys). You work very well that figure, which appears as an almost immaterial being, a visitor bearer of spiritual grace, a kind of nomad of the soul.
His reflective texts deal with substantial aspects with a vision of life of inclination towards simplicity and freedom, with which I agree.
Thank you for sharing, @zentalk.

I'd agree @josemalavem. I'd say the second piece was more of a rant / a lucid journal entry while in a state of mind I wanted to share. I'm happy you felt that the traveler was sort of mythical , a dream figure, the embodiment of unattached joy. Or at least that was one way he could be interpreted.

I think that the two texts have some coincidences, especially in the theme of the trip. The great poet Eugenio Montejo said, "Don't stop too long in a street, because later you won't be able to leave". And maybe some people can go physically, but not spiritually, because some spaces get into our skin and soul. When we are travellers, we understand that we are only passing through, as in life, as in this world. Without heavy burdens, having nature as home and others as brothers. The one who travels has lived so long, that even when dying young, in his hands he has millions of accumulated experiences. For all the travelers of the world, who, even though they are poor, give words and smiles. Thank you for sharing, @zentalk

Absolutely. Nothing about the traveler related to money or supposed that was held in high regard. I think people and experiences were made to seem of most importance. Thanks for reading @nancybriti

Creative writing does two things to us that so many people are yet to be aware of. It frees us from the clutch of the consistent vicissitudes of life and it trains our mind to be better listeners, writers, speakers to mention but a few. The two poems are quite related in that the traveler embarks on a journey which avails him the privilege to not just realize his true potential but also achieve his earlier envisioned goals by his frequent interactions with people he meets on his way. Great poems! Really made my day by giving me sentences to ponder upon. Regards @adsactly thanks for sharing.

What does he want what is it that he needs unknown is this man which leaves those he meets pleased.

Highlighting the need for living a selfless life. A life filled of sacrifices for humanity and mankind, to make things and people better than you meet them.

The second poem is inspiring. Truly, there's nothing we can't achieve if we put in the efforts and work towards achieving such.

Thank you @adsactly for sharing. Well done Zentalk for the beautiful write-ups.
Quite fascinating poems

The beauty of poetry is when you can convey intentions with solid and beautiful. We must be able to choose the diction we use.
Although in writing poetry there is no mistake, but we must be able to make the diction we use effective and cause deep meaning and beauty of sound, although sometimes we can free poetry from only dealing with the final sound of the sentence.
The theme of love for nature and travel is a good inspiration to be packaged in poetry. and you do it well.

I just comment with this words. I hope you enjoy it.

Nomads can free themselves like flying birds.
it will not break the wings that it has been beating all the time since its birth
roaming throughout the country to be the destination
infiltrate the desert to the end of civilization

Traveler will enjoy the journey
can't and won't stop, honey
there are always steps to bring yourself
even yourself without any help

Because we are all traveling
all night funds all day long
trace the rest of time and life
looking for the meaning of this life

Yes, the images do really match the words conveyed I believe. Thanks.

Hello @adsacly. The freedom of time, space and thought are given in the moment to reflect, evaluate and specify the means to give us an idea of life, which will always be different for others, being this something normal because we are individual.

We are all different, but with each lived experience, it has been good or bad, we all contribute with the experience to the history of humanity.

The previous generations left as their contribution their experiences, and we will be the antecedents of tomorrow. Life is a cycle that should be based on enjoying what we have, but taking care for future generations. We should not be selfish.

Dear #adsactly thanks for you presenting good poetry .Good wish to you. Best of luck .
