Poetry: Come Let Us Love
"In the end there doesn't have to be anyone who understands you. There just has to be someone who wants to." - Robert Brault
My Love, let us walk from flame unto flame,
From amorous agony to lethal ecstacy, -
I am too fresh to live without passion,
Too immature are you too to waste your youthful nights
Seeking answers to those empty inquiries
Which of yore Man inquire of seer
And oracle, and no retort was told.
For, Darling, to Feel excel Knowledge,
And Wisdom is a barren bequest,
One throb of desire - youthful fiery glow of Passion, -
Are worth more than the treasured dictum of the Thinkers:
Afflict not your soul with wretched philosophies,
Do we not have lips to kiss,
Hearts to love and eyes for sight?!
Are these not enough for Us,
Do We desire more?
