Fly Dove, Fly

This piece has 3 sections:
The first section is the peace someone may have before flying,
the second section is the training, and the last is finally overcoming and being able to rise above the rest.
I composed this as a gift to a friend...she wrote the following poem while listening.

Into Indian cave we descend
deeper into Earth's black abyss
embraced in the safety
of thick rock all around

In the quiet of the dark
My song is soft--
and a gentle wind responds,
resonating a calm within

Beyond a false wall of rocks
the cave continues
unknown to all,
A gift to those who go on

Through a small opening
sky streams down in bright streaks
And from this narrow passageway,
we emerge into the outerworld--
Reborn
