Ode to the Kangaroo
A Sonnet
by memeon
My kangaroo, you inspire me to write.
How I love the way you chirp, run and call,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the wherewithal.
Let me compare you to a caring spoon?
You are more merry, liberal and big.
Kind sun heats the creepy peaches of June,
And summertime has the funny isgrigg.
How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your weird humour, toe and toenails.
Thinking of your daring toe fills my days.
My love for you is the important sales.
Now I must away with a staring heart,
Remember my blind words whilst we're apart.
