A Rude Awakening (Original Poem)

in #poem8 years ago

Hash howls the wind as it whips
The novelty out of our wits
Gallivanting across the hills
That haven’t been brushed with love for eternity
Kissing torments away from souls fatigued

Drip goes the water crystals
Delivering comfort for feeble minds
Deadened to their own abilities
Sponging the garbage, sipped through veins
Blockages turned to ganga

Crash the waves voice up
Against the stones aligned
Stable and firm, weaving in and out
As if breathing from an infinite source
Effortlessly flowing with ease

Bang, thunder shuddering foot steps
A rude awakening to self
Giving no choice with its brutality
Sleeping beauty has slept too long
Awakening no more denied
