To the money doublers
The greedy man took his money
Hoping to double his wealth.

"I will buy new houses
Marry new wives
Visit the moon
And lease the sun"
The greedy man says.*

Hoping to double his wealth
But he ended up doubling his own misery.

Summary

The poem above discusses the consequences of greed, how greed often leads to destruction and misfortune. The poem tells the story of a greedy man who, led by greed, voluntarily takes his money to money doublers.
