Just A Happy Slug

I found this little guy just racing along one night. Slugs are pretty common here in Southern Illinois and like to mostly come out at night. You can see he looks like two halves with a seem in the middle. This is because he wears a saddle shaped "mantle" on his back, which has the highly defined spots, while the rest of is body is more like the blurry spots. The middle of his body is actually called the foot! The rest seems to be considered the tail in this mollusc's somewhat ambiguous body definition.
