Agreed, and these days they teach revised History, if anything! We need to start over on education, and make it work again!

For starters:
Let's start by requiring reading, writing, and 'rithmetic.
Instill a work ethic in children.
Make govt interference a criminal offense.
Require passing grades for advancement.
Make revisionist teaching a firing offense.
I like that all, an NO federal funding allowed! Local only, and I like the one room school house idea too.
You can NOT get any more local on the control than that!
:)And anyone in the community who has the means to provide their share or support would be honor bound to do so. If they opted not to, they should be "invited" to get out of Dodge.
I would not mind the ad velorem tax going to local schools, if those same schools were teaching and not indoctrinating!

Schools cannot replace a decent home upbringing and parents should not expect schools to replace parenting. Period.
These days schools teach the opposite of what most homes teach, so the schools are in direct conflict with the parents. They actually have classes on how to deal with parents, by "misleading" them (AKA Lying to them)!
The Public schools are a cancer controlled by the Liberals, that must be excised! We need to start over.

I talked to a young cousin's wife over the weekend; teaches college freshmen and told me how unprepared for life even the best of them were. She said public school had ruined them by allowing cut and past from the internet and then gave them a+ because the course requirements say "must turn in report on time" and teachers can't penalize them for plagiarizing . They file complaints as Freshmen that the instructors don't allow cut and paste and how so unfair that is!
And one of the English Lit teachers is a Holocaust denier and her required reading is all radical books supporting the deniers! All the kids will be crazy.
So much for the state of Liberal colleges.

The schools are terminally infected with Liberals, and must be put down! :(My Son, was called on for the "opposing view" in the University, all the way through, and he won the debates, according to his instructors!
