Stunning shots @silverbug, I think they look awesome thanks for sharing mate. :o)

Thanks mate, it looks great with the sunbeams I think, cheers mate.

That looks great! It usually happens if the air is humid or if there is dust in it.
I guess at the moment your sky is just burning... I read about the heat wave you have lately. All the bats dieing because its too hot for them - very sad. I wonder where this is going in the years to come.

Thanks mate, I think the bats dying off is because of us destroying their habitat more than the heat. Australia is always hot so why are they dying now? they have been here for thousands of years and now it's too hot for them!!!
It's the same story here, the government is blaming the heat for killing millions of fish that have evolved to this environment for millions of years, but now it's to hot for them, BS.

The fish are dying because we are using all the water and the river is not flowing enough, which then causes the algae to bloom and deplete the oxygen in the water. Cheers mate.

Well, the destruction of the natural habitats of animals is more or less happening all over the world. But the issue with the bats seems to be specific to a region and the heat wave there. From pictures I saw, it appears the bats are dieing by the hundreds at once. That is not caused by a shrinking habitat or such things. From what I read, scientist assume that its caused by extreme heat, above 42C, which the bat cannot handle over a certain time.
It was also said, that this got only noticed because the bats lived near a populated area. So it is well possible that this has happend before in other places, just nobody did notice it. Sad nevertheless.

Yeah, they are living near populated areas like concrete jungles instead of their actual much cooler natural jungles!!! I find it a little strange how animals that can't handle the heat live in some of the hottest parts of the country. The Flying Fox population has been declining for decades due to habitat destruction, like almost all Australian native species. Did you see the big Murry Cod in the article I sent, these particular fish are probable about 50 years old. They have survived many droughts and they are now dying from a heatwave!!! Cheers mate.

Well, even if animals are highly adapted to high temperatures, they still have limits, and often the margin between "ok" and "lethal" is only a few degrees. I dont know if you have ever heard of the Saharan Silver Ant? Its a ant species that can stand temperatures up to 54°C - but only for 10 minutes! They live underground and only come out just before the 47°C are reached, to collect other animals that got killed by the heat. But if they stay out too long, they have had it. You can read some about them here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saharan_silver_ant
And its similar for many species. They live right on the edge, if thing get only a little worse they die.
And there is no doubt: its getting warmer almost everywhere. In regions that were already extremely hot before, that can mean the end for all life - also for humans.

Very special :)
