The Real Face Of India - Episode 14
The Real Face Of India - Episode#14 (Jorasanko Thakur Bari)
I believe that India is the most beautiful country in the world. In this series I show the real face of beautiful India.
This is the famous “Thakur Bari (Tagore’s Home) Jorasanko “where Rabindranath Tagore was born in 7 May, 1861. This is also the place where Tagore spent most of his childhood and died on 7 August 1941.
This home was built by Maharshi Debendranath Tagore (Rabindranath’s father) in the 18th century on the land donated by the famous Sett family of Burrabazar to Prince Dwarkanath Tagore (Rabindranath Tagore’s grandfather).
I’ll post a series photographs of this place here –
