Texas Sage Shrub - The Shrub that blooms with the rain
Good morning, Hivers 🌄
Another beautiful day has just started and it's time to make the first post of the day.
This morning I'd like to share with you information and photographs of this captivating plant. Although it is native to the state of Texas it can also be found in lots of places and countries. It is a grey shrub and its scientific name is Leucophylum frutescens.
This Is the first time I see a plant with these colors, what caught my attention was the grey colored leaves but while I was doing research I saw that it is a flowering shrub. The flowers are pink-lavender which can make a beautiful contrast with the rest of it. But it Is not only it's beauty what Is captivating about it, but also the fact that it can survive hot and cold weather and its flowers can bloom all the year. There's a legend that says that it blooms in conjunction with rainfall.
I hope to take a photo of it with flowers soon.
Thanks for reading and supporting.
Best regards.
