Cambodian Buddhist Temples
Hi, Dear Steemian Friends
Today I want to continue sharing some of the pictures I took during my last trip to Cambodia. Today I will about the temples. During all my years in South East Asia, there is one thing that I really appreciate is the Buddhist Temple Architecture and their diversity in styles, even most of the people will not notice the difference between Thai, Burmese, Cambodian or Lao temples, there is a lot of differences that go from the numbers of superposed roofs, from the disposition of every building, from the statues and the overall meaning of the entire site and other things. Whenever you are in South East Asia, especially in the big cities there is one place where it is always good to relax, far from the traffic jam, from the people, the noise, and the hot and humid weather is to go relax at a temple. Most of the time the gardens around the temples are made of many trees and it cools down the heat, also it is always a place where there is plenty of things to see and if you have a chance to have a chat with a monk, despite your religious belief, you will learn many things. Here I share a few pictures of a Temple in Siem Reap, this is not an ancient temple like Angkor a few kilometers away but it still a good place to visit.
