The Eurasian wigeon, also known as widgeon (Mareca penelope), female on photos.
Slightly less common habitual "Mallard", which you all could see in city parks and lakes.
Incredibly cowardly! They swam in a small lake next to the river. I saw them standing on a hill, I went to them. Wade cautiously and noiselessly, through thickets and bushes. And so, almost reached the lake, as I accidentally touched a branch of a bush. And this one, scarcely audible noise of leaves, frightened them!
Almost all took off. Only a few birds remained.
And then I found them on a very remote island. They rested in the sun.

Hi @ratel nice photos. I like birdwatching, but the birds on the island are not Euroasian wigeon. Maybe Common merganser https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_merganser? I am not sure.
