Wildlife of Czech Republic: identify this creature and win SBI
Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!
It has been a while since I hosted the last "identify this creature contest" so let me make up for it today. Just a few days, I took a shot of an interesting animal that I found sitting on the wall in my kitchen and your task is to identify it :)
Here is the photo:
I can also tell you that the wingspan of this little fella was approximately 5 cm (2 in). I actually tried to identify it for myself too but I was not very successful so hopefully, you will do better :)

My guess is Box tree moth - Cydalima perspectalis.
I have seen similar and this is my photo, it was on the window.
damn, a few minutes too slow.

Cydalima perspectalis or the box tree moth is a species of moth of the family Crambidae. It is native to eastern Asia (Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, the Russian Far East and India). It is an invasive species in Europe, first recorded in Germany in 2006, and subsequently in Switzerland and the Netherlands in 2007, Great Britain in 2008, France and Austria in 2009, Hungary in 2011, Romania, Spain and Turkey. It is also known from Slovakia, Belgium and Croatia, and in 2016 in Bosnia and Hercegovina.
