These are the photos I was building up to!

This was such an awesome encounter. First, because I was not expecting to find these creatures at all where we were. Secondly, because I had dreamed on one day meeting them. By basically laying in a cold spring in February and having my son and another boy hold lights for me, I tried to grab some quick photos before these incredible creatures disappeared downstream into the water.

I did not have my macro lens with me, but I appreciate being able to at least capture the encounter. What an amazing animal. Enjoy the photos!
