A Common One
The black-tailed skimmer (Orthetrum cancellatum), gewone oeverlibel in Dutch, is the most common of the skimmer dragonflies (Orthetrum) in The Netherlands. They are about 5cm (2") long, with a wing span of about 7.5cm (3").
