Me Standing Beside Two Old World War One Posters That I Have
I used to teach history, so I have a collection of interesting old posters. I thought I’d share this on the eve of the Armistice to end WW1. The poster on the left is a French recruitment poster that celebrates the battle of Verdun. It was a very bloody battle with thousands of casualties.
The poster on the right is a British recruiting poster. As the war went on, the casualties were so shockingly high that it became difficult to get new recruits.
These photos are both replicas, I wish I actually had authentic WW1 artifacts, but I still enjoy going to museums to see the old war collections.
