El jugo de caña es bastante popular en la región del Caribe y en varios países sudamericanos. Este bebida se produce exprimiendo los tallos de la caña de azúcar con máquinas como la que se observa en la foto; por lo general se sirve con jugo de limón.
Vale la pena mencionar que la producción industrial de azúcar se realiza mediante el procesamiento del jugo de caña, el cual se extrae mediante este proceso de exprimido de los tallos.

A street vendor of sugar cane juice, I took this photo at the Brazilian city of São Carlos in the state of São Paulo. Sugar cane juice is very popular in the Caribbean region and in some parts of South America. Usually you get it fresh; it is produced by pressing sugar canes in machines like the one seen in the image. It is served mixed with lemon.
