Christmas market in Distillery District Saturday stroll no. 5
Hello, lovely steemians!
Today, I visited the Christmas Market in The Distillery Historic District in Toronto. It was the first time I did so and I was pleasantly surprised about how not crowded the place was (comparing to Christmas markets in European cities that I visited before). Maybe it's because The Distillery District is quite spacious, so the stands were spread out.
Distillery District is beautiful on its own all year around, Christmas decorations and a huge tree added a bit more charm to it.
The place is quite picturesque with red brick buildings and outdoor art pieces.
The weather was quite cold today, even tough it was sunny. Thankfully, the nature of the Distillery District as a place of artisan shops and quaint restaurants enabled us to spend a significant amount of time roaming the indoor part of the market.
Look at this cute "snowmen" in front of one of the stores!
We also got some mulled wine to keep us warm. I was surprised how well the patios outside of restaurants were heated.
These helpful guideposts to navigate us to the most important spots are a really nice touch.
We had great time today. Did you do anything Christmas related this weekend?
