Where Cliff meets Clouds

A BEAUTIFUL spring day under blue skies had my heart going for a waterfall and a hike. Joined by fellow Steem-er @terrywayne and my five-year-old son, we hiked to a historic waterfall in the Hamilton, Ontario area. Named after a family who operated a sawmill for over a century, Borer's Falls also has another name, after the "town" it used to be part of, Rock Chapel.

Regardless of what name you use, it's stunning and breathtaking from both atop the escarpment and below. Part of Hamilton's 125 waterfalls, yes we truly are The Waterfall Capital of the World! Not every bout of water versus gravity is stunning, in fact, some are downright nasty looking or bone dry. This, however, is not one of those.

Borer's Falls is located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on Borer's Creek near the Dundas Valley. Borer's Creek meets the edge of the escarpment and falls 49 feet into the ravine before continuing on, splitting off and eventually making to Lake Ontario
