The Life of the Fisherman in Alue Naga
The afternoon is not too hot, when I passed a village located in Alue Naga, Banda Aceh.
They look tired from the wrinkles on his face.
This scene is actually a common thing done by the coastal community of Aceh, which relies on marine life.
I often go to this place, waiting for the moment where humans in this village do their activities.
There is my special interest to see the togetherness of these two old couples, drying the salted fish in front of their house. Which will then be sold to the market to keep them alive.
When he was young, the old man was a sailor, with his friends catching fresh fish in the vast ocean for weeks, then returned home with many fish.
Now he looks tired, and only makes a living by selling salted fish. He is happy, his wife with a faithful smile always there beside him.
