Low tide

in #photography5 years ago

So this is what you have been hiding underneath the surface of your waters? These rugged shapes. Scars cut deep in the grey rocks. He thought she did not want to see them. They are too ugly he whispered and withdrew away eyes closed hoping she would do the same. She didn’t. He knew she wouldn’t.

Hearing the footsteps of crackling granite and seashells he wondered what if she falls and cuts herself? Will it be enough to scare her away forever? It wasn’t. She sliced her fingertips open on the sharp edges as she whispered back your ugly is beautiful..

We all have our underwater rocks and the ugly we think no one would ever wish to see. So we hide them. Forgetting that those are also very important parts of ourselves. Often making us who we are as beings of consciousness. Maybe us fighting them makes us actually better. Why deny their existence? We are all raging battles underneath the calm of the surface.

Excellent prose and sentiments! :-D I enjoyed how it cascaded down into a flurry of images paying homage to the rugged beauty of this quaint seaside locale :-)

Aw thank you so much @d-pend! Means a lot coming from you master of the words hehe. Glad you enjoyed this ^^

Hi m31. I used to enjoy low tide and walk right out as far as possible. It is fascinating seeing things you normally can't.

Hi cryptoandcoffee. Thank you for stopping by!

Yea, me too. Love the strange shapes uncovered.

My ugly is beautiful. I think I would keep that with me tonight. Maybe write a poem from that.

Beautiful pictures too.

I always thought our ugly sides are actually beautiful and I am equally interested and curious about them as for the good/beautiful sides in people.

Thank you so much! ^^

I love how you made miniature effect on some photos, you have good eye for details, really good job! :)

Thank you @miroslavrc! Experimenting with different angles and stuff to capture more depth and layers. It is so much fun too! ^^ I hope I am improving somewhat. Training that eye to notice details more and more :)

The ugliness/imperfections inside us should never be ignored. They should spur us to be and do better.

Great shots

Thank you @empress-eremmy :)

Maybe they are not as much ignored, maybe just hidden on purpose all the time to appear more perfect even though we ourselves know well enough we are far from it.
