When I took this picture in the middle of January 2019 at Lake Wörthersee, the rest of Austria was snow-covered and here at the lake it was spring-like warm. |

Of course, some snow fell in Carinthia in the weeks that followed, but the the snow made it only for a few days wintry. | Natürlich ist bei uns in Kärnten in den darauffolgenden Wochen auch etwas Schnee gefallen, aber winterlich ist es hier nur für ein paar Tage geworden. |

This photo is enough. The beauty of nature is a full bowl. But, there’s just one thing missing, me with a fishing rod and a bucket full of fish))
... and I thought you were one of these guys I photographed on another day 😉
I did not have to fish from a boat)) I do it from the shore. But a great option!
Unfortunately I did not have a picture of fishermen on the shore 😉

Howdy sir johannpiber! Wonderful shot there of the lake, so you are saying that it has been a mild winter this year? By looking at that photo a person would have no indication that it was in the middle of January!
I know, dear @janton, I know - if the grass in the foreground were a bit greener, then everyone would believe that the photo was taken in the summer and not in winter 😉

The winters are not the winters we had when I was young. Then we had snow in december until march. Now there is no snow until january or february or too much snow ... and sometimes it is snowing in may. That's strange, but I think we have to live with it - our children know it just this way.

Yes, when I think of my parent's house it is much less than when I was young.

I don't know anybody with a private snowmobile. You can see them in the ski ressorts and on the mountains where you may rent one or where the workers need a snowmobile to do their work.
