The island is called "Blejski Otok", and on it there is a church of St. Mary, and you also can see various excavations. | Die Insel trägt den Namen "Blejski Otok" und auf ihr befindet sich eine Marienkirche sowie kann man sich verschiedene Ausgrabungen ansehen. |

Next time I would like to walk around the lake and take other pictures of the lake and the island. Maybe I'll go to the island with one of the wooden rowing boats | Nächstes Mal möchte ich gerne um den See spazieren und andere Ansichten des Sees und der Insel fotografieren. As always, my Dear friend @Johannpiber pleases us with his wonderful photographs, these are photographs of a real, professional photographer. Only a professional can choose such interesting angles and photography methods, even if you are not professionally engaged in photography, this is in your blood.
It has always been strange to me that clergymen are trying to distance themselves from people. A visit to the Church with obstacles is quite difficult for parishioners, especially those who have not yet reconciled with God. For them, straight paths are needed. As the Bible says, you are the light of the world, which means that the clergy should shine, or enlighten, everywhere, and not just on the island, or in the mountain cells. It is always difficult for a sinner to cross the threshold of the Church, and even if it is necessary to sail in a boat, this is already too much))
But, as they say, how many people in the world, as many opinions))

You are so right about the clergymen, and where they built their churches, but I think, if this church was not on this island, then there wouldn't even be half as much visitors, and the boaters earn some money too, but of course, this was not the intention of the priests, who built the church.

Thank you so much Ross, you must google photos of Lake Bled. The sunrise photos are so beautiful. I will try one in late autumn, but the two spots, where you can make the best photos, are always full of photographers, they say ;)

Right, and the summer season hasn't even started yet.
You can walk around this lake, and in you won't find a place, where nobody has a camera pointing somewhere - you even won't find a place, where nobody is there ;)
It's like that often at The Wedge in Newport Beach California. It's a great wave when the swell comes up so i would just try to work people in the shot. I guess it's pretty much like that everywhere here all the time. I'm surprised i have photos without people in them at all : )
Tourists are everywhere, also on places, you wouldn't think. I don't mind them, because they bring life and money into beautiful and otherwise lonesome areas, but when there are crowds in my way, walking in front of the camera etc, then I hate them. This also a reason for me, not to photograph the popular views, or to go there in another season... ;)
What a beautiful place! Taking a rowboat to the island sounds like fun!

I can understand why tourists come to such a beautiful place. I hope you can find a time to enjoy it there when there are not as many people.
Sorry for the late reply, but I was on a hike yesterday and came home too late.
I think, that the best time is in the mornings, when the tourists are all still asleep, or in early spring or late autumn 😉

Howdy sir johannpiber! yes sir you have to go out to that island with a rowboat! That's the only way to get there? Is 98 feet typical for a lake depth there?

I haven't seen motorboats, because these are forbiddenon this lake ;) but canoes, other rowboats, and I think I have seen electric boats on the Lake Bled too.
Honestly, I do not know, how deep the lakes there are - I don't even know how deep our Lake Wörthersee is. I get such infos from Wikipedia or other sources, write them down and forget them ;)

Hey I tried out smartsteem but it didn't work for me. I got this message about it:
"Promotion was successful, but could only be partially filled due to not enough available votes. Take a look at smartsteem.com/buy for more information on available votes. "
Have you had this happen to you and do they finish filling the promotion later?
That's the only thing, which I don't like about SmartSteem.
I think, if many people use it at the same time, there are not enough votes left for you. So, they pay you the rest of the money back, and you don't lose anything.
This is, why I often promote SBD 5, then SBD 4, when I get 4 SBD back, and so on. It's sometimes annoying, but all in all I get more from my Steem than by just powering up. I don't care about the votes, if there are a hundreds of votes or only a few.

Sometimes it works fine - I spend 5 SBD, click on "vote", and 5 minutes later all votes are done, and sometimes it takes some time. It really depends on the time of day and how many people are using the service.
Ok sir johannpiber, that makes perfect sense. What time of day do you use it? Can you buy votes for a post after it's been up for a couple days?
Usually I buy the votes soon after a post, or the next morning. I don't know, how old a post can be, that you still can buy votes for it.
