Reflections / Spiegelungen

in #photography5 years ago

When I visited the Soča Valley in Slovenia last weekend, I continued to drive over the Predil Pass to Italy at the Raibler See / Lago del Predil, which is about 10 km south of Tarvis near the village Raibl, and took a little break there.

The big rocky mountain on the left is the Cima del Lago (Raibler Seekopf, Jerebica - 6,972ft).

To the right of this mountain there are these mountains: Mogenza grande / Veliko Snežni vrh, Cima Confine / Velika Črnelska špica, Mogenza piccola / Bohinca, Monte Robon basso, Cima Celso Gilberti

Unfortunately, the lake was still almost frozen, which is why the photos with the mountains reflecting in the lake are unfortunately not as expected.

Leider war der See noch fast zugefroren, weshalb die Fotos mit den im See spiegelnden Bergen leider nicht wie erwartet ausgefallen sind.

Thank you so much, dear @pixresteemer :)))

These arouse such a wistful longing to be part of this reflection, with the mountains holding onto their snow-laden beauty! Oh, what a grand range of photography these are!

Thank you for sharing your artistic edge and your photography skills here. These are stunning shots.

Thank you so much for this outstanding nice comment and resteeming my post, dear @dswigle 😊

The pleasure is mine!

Your mountains are so Majestic! The photos are excellent and I think the ice on the lake add a lot of interest to the reflection.

Thank you so much @melinda010100 😊
I really did not think these photos would be that good until I saw them on the big monitor.

They are exceptional. I'm very impressed, you should be too!

Thank you again @melinda010100.
Of course, I do like these photos very much, and although I see such mountains nearly every day, I am always impressed when I see scenes like this.

Wonderful reflections, very beautiful. Resteemed :-)

Thank you very much for the compliment and the resteem, @keithboone 😊

I want to say, no, I will say - WOW! This is amazing beauty and great pictures! Reflections are perfect! I, here, take pictures of puddles)) and there, such beauty!

You know what? When I made the photos I was not very pleased, because there was still so much ice and snow on the lake, but when I saw the images at home on the monitor I thought different :)

Thank you so much, dear @barski, and I like your puddle-reflections a lot. They look somehow like oil paintings and when you don't know that you photographed only a puddle on the road, you might think of a new photographic style or so :)

)) I thought about the style, but I very much doubt that this business has no other trailblazers. I think above the tag, everyone has puddles under their feet)) this can be interesting. Thank you so much @johannpiber!

I love your style and I have told you before that I and I am sure moste people would never see art in a puddle like you do, and for me this is art.

very nice photography my dear friend

Thank you very much.

Wow those reflections are just stellar!

Thank you so much @old-guy-photos.
I knew the photos were pretty good, otherwise I would not have posted them, but I did not expect so many positive comments, really.

Wow! Amazing shots sir

Thank you very much 😊

Howdy again sir johannpiber! I just noticed that you went to Italy for these? Wow I just heard a story on the news that they are trying the basic income program there for people who earn less than about 800 per month and paying them 800 per month even if they refuse to work.

So I see it as kind of a grand experiment and I think lots of European nations will be looking at it, perhaps even Austria.

I am sorry, @janton, I do not know anything about this program in Italy.

In Austria you get unemployment benefit, which depends on how much you have earned before. There are also other financial aid and somehow you always get something. Unfortunately I can not have a say, because I have never been unemployed and unfortunately I do not know anybody who is unemployed. That's why I can not tell you much about the system here.

Howdy again sir johannpiber! oh that is fine, I'm so thankful that you don't know anyone who is unemployed and that you have never been unemployed, that's amazing right there! That is very good. I'm sure Austria has a safety net for those who are out of work and have no income to survive.

I just thought you may have heard of that law in Italy since they are next door. Are you still at work? You are probably home by now and it's probably evening there.

Hey, @janton, you are right, it's 6:30pm. I am at home, sitting at my computer and am waiting for my bedtime ;)

No, maybe I should have heard about this Italian law, but I didn't.
Yes, we have poor people too, but nobody needs to starve or freeze in winter if he knows where to go... and if you want to work any work you should find work.

Howdy again sir johannpiber! So you are saying that there are plenty of jobs there in Austria?

My opinion is that anyone who really wants to work will find a job.

ok sir johann well that is good to hear. I'd hate to come over there and end up living on the street!

No, my parents have a big house where there's always a room with a bed free for friends.
Of course you would have to do some work for your living there, like making firewood, cut the lawn or shovel snow :)

And if you don't want to work for your bed we have houses in the bigger towns where there's always a warm bed for free if you are early enough there, before all beds are occupied and if you are not drunk ;)

Howdy sir johannpiber! holy moly look at those fabulous shots sir johann. What am I saying though, you already know they are great shots because you took them and processed them! lol. The total scenery is killer and then add the outstanding reflections and they are even more killer!

Wow @janton, I am so impressed by the comments that come in with these photos :)
As I mentioned before, I did not think the photo shoots would be very good, but then at home on the monitor, I saw that they were quite good, but I did not expect that many nice comments. I think I'll go back there as soon as possible and take more pictures.

howdy again sir johann! yes sir, it was totally amazing, those shots. Gorgeous contrasts, the clear water, the fabulous refelection, the forest and stunning mountains, those shots could be on the cover of a magazine!
And in summer it would be another great look but different.

Stop talking so nice, @janton, I think you want me to transfer some Steem to you? I am not corruptible, so save your nice words for Mrs. J., although I think you have enough nice words left for her anyway :)))

haha! well sir, I was just stating the facts as I see them but I will try to be more critical next time! lol. Although I doubt if I can find anything to criticize on those shots!

OK, my dearest friend, then let's make it different: You search for mistakes and distractions and such in my photos and tell me this in your comments. I think this would be a good idea, wouldn't it? 😉

ok I'll try but I'm not a photographer and I don't think I'll be able to give much in the way of helpful criticisms. You could assess your own shots though and point things out at times, if there's anything to point out!

When I don't like your criticism I can always downvote you, hahaha :)

I tried to tell why I was not very happy at first with these photos here, but nobody agreed with me - read the comments :)))
