The Lake Windeben is located next to the Nockalm Road at about 1,900 meters above sea level (6,200 ft).

The alpine communities are shown on display boards, and flower identification is also possible.

The Nockalm Road is about 35 kilometers (22 mi) long and lies between the municipalities Innerkrems and Ebene Reichenau. Especially for motorcyclists like me, the winding and beautifully developed road through the Nock Mountains is a pleasure.

There is no entry fee to the loop around the Windebensee, but the Nockalmstraße is a toll road. The toll (day ticket) currently costs (2019) 19 euros for cars and 12 euros for motorcycles.
