In the woods / Im Wald (part 2)

in #photography5 years ago

This is now the second part of my little forest trip from yesterday with another 3 photos.

These trees both wanted to be the main characters in the photo. I did not want to disappoint either of them and have set them quite centralized into the picture.

A snowy path, a few mossy trees and a tree fungus (Polypore / Bracket Fungus) - who finds it?

Howdy again johannpiber! wow those are two very unique trees! The one is bare and the other curvy and covered in moss! lol. very interesting. I don't see any fungus though.

Thank you again @janton 😊
Those two trees are really unique, you are right. Don't see the fungus? Third photo... :)

oh I see it now! very cool. And how much walking did you have to do to before you found those unusual trees, like hours? lol.

20 minutes along a path and then a few minutes just walking between the trees ;)

Howdy sir johannpiber..well if you go hiking in the woods alot then you must be in pretty good condition physically correct? What about bears or dangerous wildlife or crazy humans? Do you carry a gun to protect yourself?

Hi @janton, yes, I'm ok, but I am not doing it extremely. There are a few bears around, but I think you would either win in the lotto ;)
Crazy humans? Hey, we all are crazy ... no, no crazy humans :)
Fortunately, we have some good laws in my opinion, so carrying a gun legaly is not so easy here ... did I say that we have no crazy humans here ;)

haha! sir johannpiber! how can you not have crazy humans there? If that is true then your country is very unusual. I bet you have a very stable, strong family structure in most families. I bet divorce is rare am I right? You can get a gun but it is not easy to do? I agree with that policy.

Guns are dangerous and when everybody is allowed to carry violence will grow, I believe. My family is the most important thing in my life and you are right, we have not so many divorces - I mean I never have thought about it, but I know only 2 or three couples which have got divorced.

Did I say we have no crazy people here? No, I didn't - did I? I did, I must be crazy :)))))

Great shots

Thank you so much @gidlark 😊

Curious contrast between the stems of the trees, between the winding and the straight. 😀

Yes, they both are somehow so special and so different, that I had to photograph them together 😉

These photos gave a complete sense of being in this forest. I felt the smell of pine needles and mushrooms! Super!

Thank you so much @barski, since the forest is beside a moor (bog) the smell was a bit different, but you are right - the forest odor was like pine needles, mushrooms, moss... as you say 😊

The smell of decaying algae and hydrogen sulphide has a sweet odor. After some time you go out into the clean air zone and enjoy this air with great dignity))
I had a house in the area where the water supply system was fed from an artesian well with water that is saturated with hydrogen sulfide. For me, this is the usual smell)))

The odor is not this strong there in the forest - maybe in the moor itself, but I haven't been in there because there was no way in or out and the snow covered ground so I did not know where to go.

What a beautiful area love all the green moss on the trees

Thank you @tattoodjay 😊 - it was my first time there, but I'll come back for more photos ;)

Cool I look forward to seeing more from there
