So I moved to Danang.
So I moved to Danang.
Located along the Han River where it connects to the East Sea, Danang is an important port city for Vietnam. It the 6th largest city in Vietnam (*population-wise), so lots to see and do, or so I hope.
Don't get me wrong, Hoi An where I was, is nice. It's mellow, its an easy way to live. You go to the beach, hang out, eat good food... but then... that's all there is. Nothing wrong with that mind you, just like... I like to see and do more.
Travel, adventure, discovery is hard to do when you plant roots.
So, move it is. Up the road to the big city. It's not a crazy here as it is in Hanoi or Saigon, but still a big city to get lost in, to discover new things, and to meet new people.
My rent each month is 6,000,000 VND, this is about $256 USD. Add in power for perhaps another 500,000 and then Food and fun, so about $500 USD a month to live and work. Not to bad.
Here are a few photos from a short walkabout last night. But first, here are all my things on one bike.
- Lol, before you lambast me for poor packing, this is only set up for moving things, not touring.. I would have less if I was touring... or I hope. Hmmm... IDK..
- This is the moon last night, the photo does not do justice to the EPIC sky.
- Seems like the thing to do is sit along the beach at night. I can get into this trend.
- This is a bit of a better moon photo.. just a bit, still, the phone camera is not the best for photos like this.
- On one hand, this is nice, glowing hearts on the bench. SWEET! On the other, it's littler... come on, pick it up, people. :/ #MixedFeelings .
- I found myself at Apocalypse Beach Club. That is a man named Tony playing the Gataur and singing.
- When the band stopped, a DJ started to play music, I and my few friends were the only ones dancing... I felt bad for the dude.
- These were some of the people I was with...(*I am the guy with the stache in the back, not the beard) The lady upfront does pressure release massage. Going to have her come over this week and poke me to fix my broken shoulder.
