Photo series - Logs of the Shore - Tucacas Beach

in #photography6 years ago

Tree barks have always caught my attention. Shapes, textures and colors that represent nature in some of its most characteristic ways. While walking the south shore of Tucacas town I noticed very particular logs that being exposed to salty waters, sand and winds have acquired interesting colors and shapes. Many of these tree barks aren't from the area, have been brought by the sea towards here, who knows where those might be from!? So, I share with you part of these photos of the most interesting logs I found at the shore.

All the things that manage to grow over these logs give them different colors.

A closer look to the texture of this log: round holes; brown, orange an white tones; and layers of wood with softened borders.

Love the angle on this last one, The movement from base to tip. Also notice how the wood color goes white which I dig too.
