Blanketed Farm Field (Original Photography)

Howdy,

Yesterday evening was cool and, while there didn't appear to be much fog at first, I set off down some narrow, gravel back roads along the Minnesota River. Near Courtland, MN, I came across this farm field.

The mosquitos provided free acupuncture (or maybe just puncture), as I set up and took some longer exposures. The occasional firefly also made its presence known, glowing bright green.

I believe the "star" is acually a planet. Mars, perhaps? If you look closely, just above the fog, you can see the slight greenish lines drawn by the fireflies during the 10 second exposure.

On the way back, I stopped at a "scenic overlook" for a photo of the city. The overlook only gives a view of the soybean plant, though! After almost two years of living in Mankato, I still haven't found a good place to get a photo of the city center.
