Dawn to Sunrise - 22 September 2018 (Original Video/Photos)
On this morning there was a slight ground fog rolling through the area. Instead of setting the exposure to silhouette the trees as the sun rose, I set the exposure to capture the rays of light on the foreground in front of the trees.

For this photo shoot I focused on the distant horizon then turned off the auto-focus and the image stabilization on my lens.
The photographs in the video cover a 46 minute time-frame. This video stitches together 163 photos starting 25 minutes before the official sunrise.

All the photographs taken have been compiled into a 6 minute 58 second video. The photographs have not been enhanced, you see what I observed.

Sunrise Photographs in Sequence
Dawn: The period of the day when light begins to appear in the sky from the sun.
Sunrise: The time when you first see the sun in the morning.
To give you an idea of the when the photographs were taken I am adding a T-time. T-0 is sunrise, T-10 is 10 minutes before sunrise, and T+5 is 5 minutes after sunrise.
This is a representative sample of the photographs in the video. The photographs have not been enhanced, you are seeing what I observed on this morning.

The back of my house faces southeast. The best view I have is of the sunrise.
In front of my house, best for view of sunset right now, the view of the sunset is blocked by houses on an uphill. Because I do not want to photograph toward the windows of other homes, I do not photograph the sunset.
There could be a period in the winter time when I can photograph a sunset from backyard without photographing toward the windows of another house.
For now, I will stick to sunrises.
