WooHoo! This is the first flight log video that I am introducing, hosting, standing in front of a camera and making noise! To mark such a momentous occasion, I had the best flight along the beautiful Sonoma Coast, right at sunset... EVER!

Well. Here's what happened.

Before leaving (the first time) to hit this epic spot on the coast at sunset I plugged in the Android version of the KISS GUI... which is a program that manages the flight controller of my little quad. I had never used the Android version. I will never again use the Android version. Apparently it wipes your flight controller's brain good and proper.

When I got there (again on the first visit) I plugged in and armed the quad... nothing. I pulled out my phone and fiddled with the KISS GUI again. Somewhere along the line my AUX switches had been wiped and I could no longer arm the quad. Get in truck. Race home to use a different machine to mess with GUI.

Got home. Messed with GUI. Re-assigned AUX switches for arming and buzzer. The quad could Arm itself again. Problem solved. Out the door again to catch sunset. Foolishly left laptop at home.

Got to spot for the second time. Armed the quad. No problem. Go to lift off and... wobble out of control into the dirt.

The real issue is seriously messed up PIDs.

Moral of this story. DON'T USE THE ANDROID KISS GUI APP. Is no good.
