This replica, 18th century pharmacy is in Highland Park, California. Here, quite a few original, California buildings from the same era sit. It’s a small, historical exhibit but it’s a lot of fun to look over the endless variations of medicines we still buy. Cough drops, antacid pills, hunger suppressants, et al.
I think we took a step back when the cool stuff was outlawed. Who wouldn’t want a fee ounces of heroin tincture in their medicine cabinet?
