in #photography5 years ago

Another aircraft from the Ulyanovsk Museum of Civil Aviation - Tu-124. The only plane that could get inside.

The Tu-124 is a Soviet passenger aircraft for short-haul airlines that can accommodate up to 56 passengers. The first regular flight of the Tu-124 made October 2, 1962 on the route Moscow - Tallinn. The aircraft was operated mainly in the European part of the USSR, also carried out international flights to Helsinki, Stockholm, Warsaw and Belgrade. At the moment, flying copies of the Tu-124 is not preserved. This aircraft can only be found as an exhibit in aviation museums.

The operator of this aircraft was the USSR Air Force. October 29, 1984 transferred to the Museum of the History of Civil Aviation in Ulyanovsk, where he made his last flight. In 2006, the cabin and the pilot cabin of the aircraft were restored, after which it is open to the public.

The remaining exhibits of this museum can be seen at the link - https://steemit.com/museum/@chanych85/ulyanovsk-museum-of-civil-aviation
