The X-Mas Ice - A Visual Story (7 photos)

Well, I do not really remember if we ever had an open skating place in Klaipeda. But this year we do and, moreover, on the central square in the Old City just near the main City's X-Mas Tree.

So, today is going to be grand opening (though the weather is really weird and heavy raining, so no idea how it will pass). And yesterdays the works for preparing the ice just started and I have realized that this is one and only possibility to get that perfect water surface reflection on the top of freezing ice. Obviously from today there will be just a lot of people there and ice itself will look completely different

So when it became dark just grabbed the camera with a very wide angle lens ad go there. Luckily the workers were very friendly and let me go inside, so was able to get shot from the ice surface mostly just placing the camera just on ice to get more interesting composition and perspective.

Combined with X-Mas lights, guess result is pretty cool. Well, that was actually expected.. :)
