A Walk in the Park: Photographic Short Stories, Volume XII
The Swampy Nature Preserve, Part 4
With the setting sun growing ever lower in the winter sky, my wife and I continued following the trail back to the starting point. With our previous images stowed away in our memories, we were intent on finishing our journey before dusk. Here are more images of what we saw.
We saw this just off of the trail when we were walking in, but there was a group of people hanging out around it. It's a little project that they appear to be working on for the biking trails.
This was on the ground in the middle of everything. It seemed strangely out of place. There were no other tiles like it.
Back on the trail we went. Watch out for those American alligators! (Don't worry...you can easily outrun them. They're quite fat.)
The sun was getting lower still...
But not gone just yet.
A mosquito's paradise!
A random fence in the middle of the woods makes for a good photo setting. Next time I'll bring a professional camera!
We're almost out of the woods! Will we make it? Or will we run out of sunlight and be consumed by the alligators, bears, and wild boar? Stay tuned to find out!
All photos taken with my iPhone 6S.

Some great shots and an admirable location for a park! Thanks for sharing,I'd love to bike out there... Among the 'gators!? Namaste :)
Looks like great weather for a walk. That photo of the twisting path and the sunset in the background is a nice one.
Very nice - what are you using to take these?
My iPhone 6S.
Very nice ~.~
It must be resteemed, I think))))
It reminds me of that Petar Pan woods village.
Cool!
Looks like MTB course is being built!
They're trying! I don't know if there are other locations or not. We didn't go down the bike trails.
Those are some amazing shots, especially considering they're from a smartphone camera. I'm impressed!

Reminds me a bit of a park I used to visit in FL, complete with 'watch out for alligators' signs.
Those signs are everywhere. You can't even go outside without seeing one. And to this day, I've only seen a few alligators in person. Most of the time, they're just tanning/sleeping.
