Do you know what photography means? Photography itself comes from the Greek language, namely "Fos" which means light and "Grafo" which means to paint or write. The meaning of photography in English (photography) is an art, science and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either chemically using photographic film or electronically through an image sensor.
While in the Indonesian dictionary, the meaning of photography is the art or the process of earning pictures and light on film. If that was a definition by history and language, this time IDS will provide additional insight into the meaning of photography by experts. Check this out!

Tahukah kamu apa arti fotografi? Fotografi sendiri berasal dari bahasa Yunani, yaitu “Fos” yang artinya cahaya dan “Grafo” yang artinya melukis atau menulis. Arti fotografi dalam bahasa inggris (photography) adalah sebuah seni, ilmu pengetahuan dan praktik menciptakan gambar yang tahan lama dengan merekam cahaya atau radiasi elektromagnetik lain, baik secara kimia dengan menggunakan film fotografi atau secara eletronik melalui sebuah sensor gambar.

Sedangkan dalam kamus Bahasa Indonesia, arti fotografi adalah seni atau proses penghasilan gambar dan cahaya pada film. Kalau yang tadi merupakan definisi menurut sejarah dan bahasa, kali ini IDS akan memberikan wawasan tambahan tentang arti fotografi menurut para ahli. Check this out!

Fotografi lebih dari sekedar sebuah sarana ide komunikasi faktual. Fotografi adalah sebuah seni kreatif.

Fotografi sebagai media berekspresi dan komunikasi yang kuat, menawarkan berbagai persepsi, interpretasi dan eksekusi yang tak terbatas.

Bagi saya, fotografi adalah sebuah seni observasi. Ini tentang menemukan suatu hal yang menyenangkan di tempat biasa.. Saya telah menemukan bahwa hal tersebut tak ada hubungannya dengan hal-hal yang kamu lihat, dan semua harus dilakukan dengan caramu melihat mereka.

“Fotografi berasal dari kata foto dan grafi yang masing-masing kata tersebut mempunyai arti sebagai berikut: foto artinya cahaya dan grafi artinya menulis jadi arti fotografi secara keseluruhan adalah menulis dengan bantuan cahaya, atau lebih dikenal dengan menggambar dengan bantuan cahaya atau merekam gambar melalui media kamera dengan bantuan cahaya.” (Amir Hamzah Sulaeman)

In 1972, Polaroid camera Edwin Land's findings began to be marketed. Polaroid camera can produce images without going through the process of developing and printing film.
Technological advancements also spur photography very quickly. If the first camera as a tent can only produce images that are not too sharp, digital cameras are now just as big as a wallet capable of making very sharp images in the size of the newspaper.
