Tutti Putti (ita/eng)

Un elemento decorativo caratteristico delle arti figurative, in passato, era rappresentato dal fanciullo “rotondetto” ed ignudo comunemente noto come “Puttino”.
Capaci di esprimere efficacemente i sentimenti o le passioni umane, i puttini possono avere una valenza allegorica ed immancabilmente attirano l'interesse degli osservatori diventando spesso i veri soggetti, i protagonisti principali dell'opera d'arte.

La figura del Putto è presente in dipinti e sculture, ma è stata soprattutto l'architettura barocca ad utilizzare in maniera sistematica gli intrecci grotteschi di festosi gruppi marmorei per decorare gli altari e le colonne delle chiese o per abbellire i giardini, le fontane e le corti interne dei Palazzi e degli edifici gentilizi.

Per le sue fattezze, il simpatico personaggio viene storicamente identificato anche con Cupido, il dio pagano dell'Amore e, dal momento che compare solitamente dotato di una coppia di piccole ali piumate, è stato introdotto nei presepi e nelle scene religiose per svolgere la funzione di biondo e riccioluto angioletto.

In epoca più recente le classiche e aggraziate immagini dei puttini sono state utilizzate in maniera eccessiva per fini commerciali. A causa della grande diffusione di poster, bomboniere ed altri gadget di dubbio gusto, i puttini rischiano di perdere un po' del loro antico fascino.

Per transitività o verosimiglianza il termine “Putto” può talvolta, diventare un simpatico nomignolo e, pertanto, venire affibbiato amichevolmente come bonario soprannome.

ENG - A characteristic decorative element of the figurative arts in the past was represented by the "rotondetto" and naked nude known commonly as "Puttino". As well as being able to effectively express human feelings or passions, puttini can have an allegorical value and invariably attract the interest of observers often becoming the true subjects of the work of art. The figure of the Putto is present in paintings and sculptures, but it was above all the Baroque architecture that systematically used the grotesque weaves of festive marble groups to decorate the altars and columns of churches or to embellish the gardens and inner courts of the Palaces and noble buildings. For his features, the likeable character is also identified with Cupid, the pagan god of Love and, since he usually appears with a couple of small feathered wings, it was introduced into nativity scenes and religious scenes to perform the function of blond and riccioluto angioletto.In more recent times the classic and graceful images of the puttini have been used in excessive way for commercial ends. Due to the widespread use of posters, favors and other gadgets of dubious taste, the puttini risk losing a bit of their ancient charm. For transitivity or verisimilitude the term "Putto" can sometimes become a nice nickname and, therefore, buckled amicably as good-natured nickname.
