📷Color Challenge, Monday Red - Fire engine bought in 1946 | 1946年买的消防车 (by @ace108)
I was at Mapletree Business City recently and saw this Merryweather Pump Escape Fire Engine. One of two purchased in 1946 by the port so said here.
It looks special enough from up here. So I went down to check it out.
🎶Meanwhile, some music for you to enjoy as you read. This piece is part of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, particular the first of the 4 violin concertos, called Spring.

First thing I see is the rear end. The nice and shiny parts must need some maintenance regularly.
Here is a view from the front.
Shooting from an angle to catch the full vehicle.
Close up of the old siren.
The steering wheel with the classic speedometer.
Closer look at what is in front of the driver seat.
Check out the ladder. Wooden and still looks quite sturdy.
This is the sign at the side.
Can imagine the firemen standing by the side here...
...wearing this.

Look like a RollRoyle
I think this maybe more expensive than a Rolls.
Indeed, anything that is Black, Gold and Red always does looks expensive.
They are still in good condition!

Very well maintained.
Sure is a beauty!
A classic beauty.
