출근해서 의자에 앉으면 맨 먼저 컴퓨터 전원버튼을 누르고, 그리고는 전화기를 든다.

설탕을 적당히 넣은 터키시 커피를 한잔 주문한다.
3~4분정도 기다리면 찌꺼기가 아래쪽에 모이고 상대적으로 맑아진 위쪽의 커피를 마신다.
처음에는 쓴맛과 입안에 커피가루 때문에 잘 마시지 않았는데…
한번 마신후로는 하루 석잔정도를 주문하는거 같다.
중독성이 있다.
물, 커피, 설탕을 함께 넣고 불에 올려 끓인후 Demitasse에 따라 마시는데
우유나 크림은 넣지 않고 커피와 설탕만 들어간다.
다마시면 까만색 커피 찌꺼기가 남는데…
옛날 터키에서는 컵아래에 가라 앉은 찌꺼기를 컵채로 테이블에 업어 놓은 후,
엎질러진 찌꺼기의 형상을 보고 그날의 운세를 점쳤다는 풍습이 있었다.
