my shot of the day ~ Bigg's orca tail slapping
Orca are a playful species of marine mammals and watching such playful surface displays is heartwarming. Never mind that they are being very playful and active on the surface in a form of celebration, as they did just hunt a harbour seal quite successfully, which is awesome to watch as well UNLESS you really like harbour seals...
This young orca was quite happy with that result and decided to slap his tail/fluke around for quite a while, as the rest of its family shared the spoils of the small snack with one another. In my eyes, a great and exciting day to be on the ocean interacting with another family of Bigg's orca

Wow, That's a nice shot! How do you even get a shot of these creatures every day? Do you sit along the sea or on a boat all day waiting for them to swim to the top? though your job or hubby seems fun, it's not an easy one at all.
