Yurt, dog and the boy in Central Asia

yurt and boy.png

Yurts are the old way to live for the summer in the steppe of Central Asia.

Warm in the night, cool in the day, wool keeps the elements out. Especially with a fire in the stove (keep the dung handy, no wood here). Dogs keep dangerous things at bay so the boys can come out to play!

The dogs are furry to keep the cold away.

Never a day to busy not to play!

Welcome to Central Asia!

That is a awesome shot @snowyknight! Cool shadows also!
What are the dangerous things kept at bay, big cats?
Somewhere up over there are some ancient standing
stones with deer like figures carved on some of them.
Have you seen any ancient stone markers or circles?
Thank you for the yaking shout lol

Wolves! And big cats... snow leopards. But mostly wolves...

No ancient stone markers that I noticed... I don't know if these people played much with stone. The yurts are very low impact... so does not leave much of a long term legacy except for a cool culture... but will not last like stone markers...

Thanks for stopping by.

What were you doing in central asia? Training with the Mongolians for archery by horseback?

Photography and looking at cool stuff high up in the mountains. And learning from the mogols too. Thanks for stopping by!
